During the 2025 Luohang Hill Fair, Pulan Art Center will transform its exhibition hall into a living ecological art space - “The Living Room of Light". Here, light not only falls on the leaves of plants but also on the hearts of every visitor who enters. The audience is no longer just onlookers; instead, like plants, they quietly undergo a spiritual photosynthesis amid the interweaving of light and art — absorbing beauty and energy, converting them into inner peace and freedom, and feeling a power of inward growth.

This exhibition is the latest practice of the “Natural Gallery” Project by the NYID Design Research Center in rural public cultural spaces. Based on the research framework of “synergetic development of public space design and humanistic environment”, the “Natural Gallery” Project is committed to the in-depth integration of green ecology and contemporary art. It explores sustainable space-creation methods through the combination of plant ecological design and artworks. It not only improves indoor and outdoor landscape environments but also transforms public spaces into venues that nourish the body and mind and warm people's hearts.

“The Living Room of Light" inherits the cross-cultural and interdisciplinary creative principles of the "Natural Gallery" Project, bringing together artists from Israel, Belarus, France, the United States, Sweden, and China. With their diverse cultural backgrounds and perspectives on nature, these artists interweave memories, materials, colors, light and shadow with plants.

In this room, plants and art share air and light; a subtle energy exchange also takes place between the audience and the artworks. Every breath and every moment of pause is part of photosynthesis — a spiritual cycle triggered by art and nourished by nature. Here, we can let go of the hasty pace of life, feel the sense of freedom as if embraced gently, and stretch quietly like a leaf towards the light that belongs to us.
