Nirit Dekel
Nirit Dekel, born in 1970, is a contemporary jeweler and glass artist base in Halle, Germany. After 6 years of academic studies in Social Sciences (BA and MA in Social Studies from Tel Aviv University), She changed to a well-paid job in the hi-tech industry. But when she saw Chihuly’s 2000 art installation at the Tower of David in Jerusalem, she got "the call" to fulfil her real desire destiny to enter the world of craft and art. Since then She have had more than 24 exhibitions in reputable design events and Museums in Israel and abroad, including the MAD Museum, New York; Mingei Museum, California; Norton Museum, Palm Beach; Eretz Israel Museum; Philadelphia Craft Show; Boston Craft Show; Art Palm Beach; the International Exposition of Sculpture Objects and Functional Art, Chicago; Israeli Glass Biennale. She is a part of many private contemporary jewelry collections.
