Margit Jäschke
Margit Jäschke is a contemporary jeweler based in Berlin and Halle, Germany. Born in Halle, Germany in 1962, She is a graduate of the Burg Giebichenstein, College for Art and Design. In 1992-2001, she became Assistant Professor of the Burg Giebichenstein, College for Art and Design. Since receiving her degree, she has been honored with well-known prizes and scholarships, including 2016 artists’ grant of the Bavarian Academy of Fine Arts, 2010 International artists’ travel grant, International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP), New York, 2007 Grassi Prize, GRASSI Museum für angewandte Kunst, Leipzig. Since 1991, she has participated in one-man and group exhibitions in both Germany and foreign countries, including the USA, Austria, India, China and Netherlands. Her works are held in collections among the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York; CODA Museum Apeldoorn, Netherlands; GRASSI Museum für Angewandte Kunst, Leipzig.
